American Staghound - The American Staghound is the result from breeding the Scottish Deerhound, Greyhound with several other unknown breeds. These animals have a very good eye sight. Plott Hound - The Plott Hound is the only American hound which doesn’t have a British ancestry. The dog is medium-sized, very muscular, with long ears. It is a very courageous dog, very determinated and loyal. They range between 20 to 24 inches ( approximately 51 to 61 centimeters). The dog can work all day thanks to its endurance and stamina. Greyhound - The Greyhound’s origin is in Egypt where these dogs were used for hunting in open areas where their very good eye sight is efficient. Mountain View Cur - In the year 1987 the breed was created in New York by Michael and Marie Bloodgood. Although they originate from the Mountain Curs they are completely different. These dogs are very protective and also they will try to please you every day. They are very fast track dogs. Generally, it is a healthy breed without any known genetic problems. Also, these dogs are very intelligent with a developed sense of self control. They range between 18 to 26 inches ( approximately 46 to 66 centimeters ). Black Mouth Cur - Their country of origin is United States. They are primarly used to tree raccoons but have proved to be very efficient for treeing coyotes also. The Southern dog is very muscular and sturdy. They range between 16 to 25 inches ( approximately 40 to 64 centimeters ). The dog needs a lot of daily exercises in order to stay in shape so it isn’t advisable to keep it inside an apartment.
